Default Posting HTML codes

My question is three-fold. . .

My first question, why can't we post HTML codes for images/graphics that we find on the internet?

Secondly, is there a way to turn HTML codes into jpg/gif codes so that we can post these images/graphics in our signatures and journals?

And finally, can you tell me how I post a working slideshow that I see in others signatures and avatars?

Thank you for hour help!

Enabling HTML code allows scripts to be posted and triggered through your browser, which allows undesired security issues to members. For this reason, a limited set of HTML is enabled through BBCode/vBCode.

Yes, check here: http://forum.lowcarber.org/misc.php?do=bbcode

These are done through animated graphics. Some graphic applications allow you to make such graphic files through a combination of images.

One more thing, I just figured why you're asking Please consider writing a success story in our success forum! Also, when you post an image to the gallery, it will show you the BBCode below the image. You can just cut and paste the generated code to post your pictures on the forum.

I was able to create a slideshow with the help of Photobucket (and was able to post it to this forum). However, the slideshow isn't working - I only see the first image to the slideshow. To view the slideshow you have to click the image. Is this the only way this board allows me to run slideshows?

Depends on what format they use for the slideshow. If it's done as regular animated gif file, it should work fine here.

It won't convert HTML automatically. You just need to familiarize yourself with BBCode from that link to do it. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes easy. Here's the image you linked to:

This is the HTML tag for my slideshow. Can you convert this so that I'm able to see my slideshow?

<a href="http://www.wunderground.com/US/MI/Saint_Clair.html?bannertypeclick=gizmotimetempbig">
<img src="http://banners.wunderground.com/weathersticker/gizmotimetempbig/language/www/US/MI/Saint_Clair.gif" border=0
alt="Click for Saint Clair, Michigan Forecast" height=40 width=467></a>

I cant figure out how to change it.

O.k., here's the code example, just make sure to remove the spaces between img and []

[ img ]http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o109/crtipton/Glitter%20Comments/hello2o2o6oc.gif[/ img ]

The pic you posted does not appear to be animated, so it will not show more than the first picture.

Weather tickers maynot work, as they appear to be scripts, not images (the image comes after the scripts is executed)

If it's at photobucket, why don't you just select the img version of the code? It gives it to you.

I don't know why it's not animating, though. I went directly to the pic from photobucket.
