Default Having website trouble today

Hi,
I have been having problems with journals all day today. The rest of the site and all other sites I visit have been working fine for me though. It's been taking me forever to post to any journals because they keep freezing up on me. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Alli

No idea. Journals are just normal threads, like any other thread.

You might want to reboot and try again, it can't hurt

I've been doing that to no avail . Hopefully, it will magically go away over night. It's really weird, I can post here with no problem. When I do the Ctrl, alt, del, I keep getting a "not responding" message.

Are you using hybrid or threaded mode?

Try switching to linear mode and see if that helps.

I'm in linear mode, but I have to tell you, I've been able to post in 3 journals since my last post. I've been trying to post to them all day and I was just finally able to. I'll let you know if it happens again.
Thank you for your help and quick reply,
Alli

I am still having journal issues. It doesn't happen anywhere else on the whole website. It also only happens when I hit the "post reply" button. I've been doing "quick reply" and then going back and editing to add pictures, color or whatever. Any ideas? As soon as I hit the post reply button it freezes up and then I hit Ctrl, alt, delete and it gives the not responding message. So, I have to hit end task and then start all over again.
Thanks,
Alli

You might want to find out what other programs are running on your PC, which might cause this.

Check this thread for information on how to find out what's running on your PC:

Default a question? why can't I view my latest pages on my journal

Hi,
I'm having a problem seeing my latest journal pages, if someone post on my journal I can't see it till I post something first and then it will advance to the next page on my journal...it's like it's stuck on page 23, then when I go visit other journals it goes back to page 23, i'm using that as an example, i'm really not sure what page it is, am I suppose to switch to a different mode?? I use Linear, and I don't see where anyone else is complaining about this. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

hi Desiree,

This has happened to another member before, and to me It seems to be a glitch in the way the browser handles pages stored in memory (the cache). You could try the traditional "fix", which is to log out, clear the browser's history and temporary internet files, reboot then log in again.

In the other cases that I know of, the problem corrected itself in time.

hth,

Doreen
