Hi.
I'm a newbie to this site but have been low carbing on and off for a while. Recently I read Neris & Indias Idiot Proof Diet and have followed it to the letter.
In the first 2 weeks I lost 5lb. 10 days on and still phase 1 (induction) I have not lost anything at all although I have done nothing different.

Can anyone shed any light on what might be happening?
I have Ketostix and they are lovely and pink every single morning yet the scales don't move.

Well, after an initial loss of over 25% of the total amount you want to lose already I bet your body is just trying to work out what the ~~~~ is going on!!

Most people seem to experience a 'hesitation' after the first couple of weeks on induction, in fact there is even an Atkins acronym for it - Post Induction Stall Syndrome (PISS)!

If you were on Atkins I would say not to stay on induction but start to move to OWL, as adding more carbs in the OWL carb ladder order often seems to start the scales moving again, but I do not know anything about the plan you are on, so cannot give any advice apart from just carry on doing what you are doing

Hahaha! PISS!
Thanks Elizellen.
The plan I'm on is very, very similar to Atkins. I may waver from induction now and see how I get on.
Thanks again.
