Default creatine and sugar

Do I have to take sugar with creatine? Please link to a study or something if you can. I can't find an answer!!!

I've never heard it is needed. Where have you seen/read that you need to take it with sugar?

It is not essential but carbs do speed up the loading process due to the stimulatory process of insulin.

It just seems weird to me to be thinking of adding sugar to anything if you are trying to lose weight!

Sorry I googled and realised it is a body builders drug, so nothing to do with lowcarbing or losing weight in general.

Chubz, I wonder if you'd get more informed responses if you posted this in the exercise forum? The other weight lifters are more likely to see it there. Just a thought.

I use creatine, I put it in my post weight session protein shake.
Mainly as I use the powder version & it don't dissolve very well and I tried it with water, yuck.
If its in my protein shaker with the protein powder it's not gritty & I can shake before each mouthful which avoids a gritty last mouthful.
I would never put it with sugar though.

No need to take creatine with sugar. I never have and i use the stuff regularly. I never achieved more muscle mass but workout are easier and mood improves noticably..
