Decided to change plans and instead of the Asparagus I decided to cube up some Zucchini, onions, Red Pepper and smother the 1/2 baked pork chops so it can finish cooking with the roasted veggie mix on top.

Robin, does he eat meat like steaks and whole chicken?
That might make the difference in him staying on plan going forward. I know it would with my DH.
Does he cook?

he loves to cook, and he loves fish and seafood, as well as steak and chicken. he always eats a low carb dinner. he packs mostly low carb lunches, but he still eats oatmeal, fruit, granola bars.....which has lead to him really struggling if we are out to eat to avoid bread and pie and.....
i feel if he was in ketosis, those foods wouldn't tempt him so.

Oh good..
I was thinking that if he cooked then he could have more meat and it might satisfy him.
Can you/he replace some of those granola things with low-carb stuff?
Maybe he could agree to kick those carbie things for just a couple of weeks and see how it goes so he can get into Ketosis.

that's our plan
today i packed him a double cheeseburger (leftovers), sliced up bell pepper to snack on, a sf jello and pumpkin seeds.
he seems excited! he is super fit and doesn't need to lose weight- it's gut issues, problems sleeping, skin irritation, etc.....that i think he will really enjoy. but i would never push. it had to be his choice, so i am so thrilled he is interested.

now off to bake a bacon quiche, so that oatmeal isn't tempting at breakfast!

Santa Fe seasoned pork chop, asparagus, onion and bell peppers sauteed in some bacon grease. So easy after a long day at work.

Steak tonite. I'm thinking brussels sprouts as the side.
