Default Is it ok to eat the skin?

I have found buying rotisserie chickens and baked chickens from the deli help me out a lot during the week.
However, I do eat the skin. Particularly on the breast. I don't eat the legs or the wings, but I do use wing meat if needed. It hasn't affected my weight loss thus far.

Is this bad? Thoughts?

NO!! this is not OK on SB.....please refer to the book and or food lists if you have a copy of them. We do not eat any poultry skin at all, as much as its tasty.

I buy skinless and boneless chicken breasts and season them heavily for great flavor...then grill them in smallish pieces after marinading....I do this once a week, 2 lbs at a time. Very tasty alternative to rotisserie chicken.

Yes, I know they are not allowed per the book. I keep my hard copy next to my bed and review things often. Just asking for your thoughts.

I was hoping I could keep buying them as it is a tremendous time saver. Alas, I won't buy them anymore.

If you'll notice, Judy did NOT say you could not eat rotisserie chicken, only that SB does not allow you to eat the SKIN. On occasion I buy one from the local market and use it for lunches or salads throughout the week, as you said, it is a great time saver. I don't do this often though because of the salt content in prepared foods.

I thought on SBD not only can you NOT eat skin, but you can ONLY have white meat (too much saturated fat in the dark meat). It was one of the things that sent me back to Atkins.

Look....we each have to make this work for ourselves. I eat white meat most of the time...but I do love dark meat and once in a while I will buy boneless & skinless thighs and cook them up and love them.

For newbies, its best to follow the parameters of the plan to learn to eat this way at first...but as you progress, you learn that you can make adjustments to keep up the variety. IMO....its much better to eat some dark meat sans skin than to eat a piece of bread!!
