I've noticed a similar reaction in that the LCers I know are very private with vocalizing their WOE with no vitriol when confronted with challenges or criticism. I have noted in my readings about LCHF that the ability to reduce stress has been referenced many times. I'm beginning to feel that personally, as the infrequent occurrences of stressful situations that would have caused me stress in the past seem to have much less of an impact today. As for applying this to meat eaters, I agree with Kristine. For some that eat meat in a "balanced diet," the jerk potential remains. Is it the spikes in BG, the insulin response, or something else? Hormones out of control can be a real stress inducer.
