2 lbs ultra lean organic ground sirloin
1 14 oz can no salt added kidney beans, drained
1 14 oz can organic stewed tomatoes, no added sugar or salt
1 can ro tel tomatoes with lime and jalapeno (i checked, no added sugar)
1 onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
3 celery stalks, chopped
~1 tablespoon cumin
~ 1 tablespoon chili powder
Granulated garlic...maybe a tsp
Saute onion, celery, bell pepper and beef, add spices. after a few mins, add canned tomatoes and beans. Simmer under closed lid for 30 mins.
Salt and pepper to taste, garnish with fresh cilantro. I didnt use any oil, as I have a great nonstick pan. I also didnt skim anything off...thete was almost no fat to remove since the beef was really lean...i hope that was ok.
How much would an allowed serving be? Im thinking one cup?

Thats good...1 cup to 1.5 cups would be a good serving to me.
I put a lot more veggies into my chilis and I also use grd turkey a lot. I like mine really spicy so I add crushed red pepper and jalapenos too.
I make a huge pot of it and have it for many meals. I like it with 1 tbs of greek yogurt on top instead of sour cream and 1/2 avocado w/ chopped fresh tomato and onion. Its one of my favorite lunches!!
