Default Anyone taking Fish Oil Capsules?

I started taking fish oil this week--it's Zone Labs OmegaRx. Just wondering if anyone is taking fish oil as part of their supplements and has any benefits to share?

I am taking them, I got the omega 3 fatty acid pill from Trader Joes. I take a lot of supplements so I cannot tell the individual benefits.

I am taking them as part of the recommended supplements by Dr. A. I can report feeling great overall, but most of that is the diet and a stable blood sugar. The work of omega 3's or fish oil happens internally, so I don't think you would have a noticeable effect taking them or not taking them. They are working inside with your heart and cholesterol and trigliceride levels.

I take Fish Oil capsules as part of my handful of supps. It's hard to distinguish individual benefits, as others have said. I'm just trusting in the strong recommendation from many sources that this is a Good Thing to do.

I also eat fish two or three times a week.

My breath says yes!

I've just started taking suppliments, though, so other than revisiting the taste, I haven't noticed anything yet.

I haven't taken the capsules, but I have used Carlson's fish oil in the past. I was just thinking the other day that I should start it again. I remember it made me feel less depressed. I used to put a little in kids yogurts, too. It seemed to make them calmer and less likely to fight. We don't eat enough fish.

The Eadeses recommend Carlson's as the BEST way to take fish oil. I'm trying to remember to get some.

thanks for the responses! I figure I don't eat enough fish to get the nutritional benefit(for some reason I cannot cook fish so it tastes good!)

The secret to good-tasting fish is very fresh fish. White fish fillets have virtually no taste except for the butter you saute them in, or the seasonings you put on them. And there are lots of good recipes.

Our favorite is a Basa fillet (white fish) sauteed in butter with a few capers sprinkled on. Easy and delicious. You can also use tartar sauce--mayo with seasoning to your taste. I like mayo with curry as a fish sauce.

Robin, fish oil helps with dry skin? I likes the sound of that! For the past six months my face has been flakey like a fish stick! I hoped that my regular vitamins and extra water intake of LC would help, but it really hasn't. I usually have a very nice complexion, but something has gone awry lately. Maybe I should try some fish oil capsules and see if that helps.

I take it, just switched from capsules to actual oil and ugh! Burps! I'm going back to caps once my bottle is finished. But I agree with the other posters, I trust that the benefits are happening. I don't eat much fish either, except occasional sashimi and shellfish.
