Default Spinach Dip and Crackers!

Spinach Dip:

1- 3oz softened cream cheese package >3nc
1/4 tsp garlic powder 0nc
1- 10oz frozen chopped spinach (drained and pressed dry) >3.5nc
1- 8oz dean's brand french onion dip 8nc
1/4 tsp pepper (to taste/you can omit if you don't like it)
(i've also added bacon pieces fried till crispy and crumbled)

Mix all ingredients in med sized bowl and refridgerate.

This makes a LOT of dip i would say at the minimum 5 servings but it's so good, make sure you put it on a plate and hide the rest lol.
14.5 carbs for the whole thing so just around 2.9nc per serving. (this is my own concoction! i don't like water chesnuts and they have too many carbs anyway.)

Crackers: (Sunflower seed crackers)
1 cup hulled sunflower seeds (try not to get already roasted) 13nc
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese 0nc
1/4 cup water 0nc

Preheat oven 325 degrees. Put sunflower seeds and parmesan cheese in blender or chopper (to make into a meal) then slowly add the water pulsing until it makes a dough-like paste. Remove and place on wax paper/parchment paper. Place another piece of wax/parchment paper on top and use a rolling pin to roll it out very thin, maybe around 1/8th inch thick. Remove top layer of paper. Take a pizza cutter and score them into about 1 1/2 inch squares place slightly appart (maybe 1/2 inch appart) on a baking sheet (can line if you desire with parchment paper) bake for about 30 mins. Remove and let cool completely. They will crisp up. Makes about 6 dozen and for the ENTIRE batch it's only 13 carbs so if you divide it out with the spinach dip in 5 servings about 15 crackers and 2.6 carbs. (this recipe from sparkpeople.com)

So for just around 5.5 nc you can have a VERY filling and satisfying snack! Let me know if you like it!
