Question Looking for the Mock Danish

I am getting started again. I keep hearing about the Mock Danish. I remember reading the reciepe a long time ago, but did not copy it or make it as I was not being faithful to LCing.

I want to be faithful now! I am really getting ready to totally go for it.

I have used the "search", but you know how many treads there are with Mock Danish in it.... I feel lost...

Can someone give the reciepe again or direct me to the spot?

thank you!!

Hi Karen,

There's a useful feature in the search, click on "Search title only", which returns threads with the title containing mock danish.

But, it's in the recipes, under sweet treats. And it's great!

Cool

Karen,

Go to the orange bar at the top of the screen, click on low carb recipes, and then look to the left hand column. Choose members recipes, select breakfast, and you will find the recipe. Welcome and have a great low carb day.

Default Hi Karen

This is my favorite version of the recipe:

2 oz of cream cheese (soften it in the microwave)
add:
a dash of vanilla
1/4 - 1/2 tsp maple flavoring
a good pinch of cinnamon
2 tsp (equivilant) BROWN sugar twin
1 egg
Beat it all til it's frothy and lemmony(I use one of those hand-held blenders all the time now that I'm LCing)

dot it with another dab(or 5) of more cream cheese
Microwave for about a minute and a half. Top with a slab of butter.

Makes me feel like I ate a pile of french toast...

Welcome back and Good Luck!!

Patty

The mock danish does sound very good, but it may be a good idea to wait until you have been back on the program for at least a couple of weeks before you try eating sweet things. Your body may not have a good reaction.

Default thanks everybody

I am now in my 4th day. And I lost my 7 lbs that I had gained back during my "off the wagon" period. I have not had the Danish yet. I made myself wait until I lost those 7 lbs. I have sorta planned to enjoy it tonight.

I don't want to create a stall either. I am at war against my body. It will eat what I say and exercise when i say.

thanks everybody!!
