I shrunk the picture for you
I'm not an expert ... but I've seen this happen repeatedly here on the forum, and for pictures that friends have emailed to me. I think (not 100% sure) that it has to do with file compression. Images are stored in compressed files so they don't take up so much memory. But when they are downloaded for viewing, they become uncompressed .. often at a ratio of 4:1.
I don't know how to prevent the problem .. I only know how to shrink the picture manually after it's been downloaded
