Unhappy Winsor Pilates... WOW

Well I just got my tapes today and all I can say is WOW!

They aren't tapes to get your heart rate up, although I feel a tingling all over my body... the 20 minutes went by real fast and they are tough. slow controlled movements. If I can't work these 20 minutes into my day then I am a lost cause. I recommend them to anyone that has never exercised (I never exercise)

just my 2 cents worth...

Red face OUCH

Well, I didn't feel much other than the over all tingling (oxygen moving thru my blood stream LOL)

This morning, I found out that I have stomach muscles!!!

Not a horrible awful pain, just certain movements that tell me I did work something yesterday, even a tight feeling in my thighs.

The movements are very slow controlled movements that place emphasis on breathing and posture

This is a good thing for me. These movements require concentration and they are great for stress too!!! I do think I am going to like them very much.

I just realized after I posted to your first post that you did go for it, and order the tapes.
Aren't they just fabulous?
I do the accelerated tape one day, and the 20 minute tape the other day.
I LOVE THE 20 MINUTE DAY!! heheee...
I can't believe how much easier it gets within days of starting.
I can do all the exercises in both tapes... which is a big accomplishment for me.
And I can't believe what it is doing to my body.... Things are soo much firmer, even at my weight.

I also mentioned in the other post that I ordered the other tapes.
I can't wait to get them, because I think variety will help me to keep at it.....
I can honestly see this being a lifetime commitment.

It's just awesome!!

"Don't forget to breath!" heheee

Thank you for the updates. I think I may have to go out and buy them to add to my exercise routine. Currently I am doing TaeBo and loving it and would use these tapes probably in the morning before work (instead of the 30-40m of surfing I do in the morning, lol).

Once again, thank you for the updates!

Hi Max
I am in Canada.
You can order this set of 3 videos thru the infommercial for $40.00 plus shipping U.S.
But a friend of mine just found the set of 3 at Superstore for $40 Cdn, which is $27.00 U.S.

Do you have a Superstore there? If so, you may want to check it out.

I do have to say though that I think they were worth every penny that I paid.
And I just finished ordering 4 more Winsor tapes to add to the set. I figure variety is a good thing, to keep me motivated.
Althought I haven't missed a day since I started mid October.
And that is very unlike me. I have tried many tapes like this, but after a week or 2 I give up.

I say go for it.

Good luck!
Kim

Oh Max
I forgot to answer you about the exercises.
Most of them are done lying on the floor or exercise mat. They involve a lot of stretching, and really target those areas that are hard to work.
Most of the exercises are very easy, and enjoyable.
I have a few on the accelerated tape (which is 50 minutes long, and more intense) that I really don't enjoy doing... and they are more difficult. But I do them. And even if at first there are a few that are a little too hard, you will find after a very short time that you can do them.

Feel free to write if you have any more questions.

Take care
Kim

Mary et all!..Well have completed two days of the 20 minute workout video and must say when I stand up tall can now feel those abdominal muscles for the first time in my life I first watched and practised the basic video and my first response was geez these exercises are so simplistic and are going to be a piece of cake NOT... once I put them into action I must say they are not as easy as they look in the sense that you can feel an immediate plus in the areas you are working I will continue to do the 20 minute workout for awhile until I have the moves down correctly...tried to do a roll over and couldn't get back up at first also getting those legs at a 90 degree angle is still a challenge but am sure after a few weeks will be successful this workout program certainly has my vote one that I think I can stick with for a long time...B

Hi...
I just hired a personal trainer. I have jumped to fast into the wrong exercise for my weight and have ended up with injuries that have set my weight loss way back... including stress fractures in my right foot that caused me to have surgery in March of this year.

The personal trainer did a physical fitness evaluation on me and she has just finished a 9 month training in pilates. She talked to me about it and wants to work with me on it.

I just typed the word in the search and came up to this site. I was so glad since I paid her for 10 sessions already to see such possitive feedback on pilates. I have a condition that causes tight tendons in my legs. I can't do excessive walking and never running. This lady Rita, the trainer says she thinks pilates will be the perfect thing for me. I will get started with her on Friday.
