But at least the support here kept me from going terribly off-plan and gaining the weight back as so many do, and I did keep the 100 pounds off.

But it wasn't until this year, with implementing fasting as well, that I finally broke my stall and have lost 50 more pounds for a total of about 150. And I'm still going, and I love all the folks here who encourage me in my journey. I hope you find encouragement here too.

Wow! 150lb weightloss. That is truly awesome. It is so daunting to start on a journey like that. I think it's probably inevitable that the body will sometimes fight back.. Our fat cells demand replenishment, and we're going to have to grit our teeth and fight back at times.

Well done! You're such an inspiration to others.

I've been on a few other LC oriented forums over the years. I don't have a problem with other forums, but there just isn't the support there that there is here.

That may sound strange for someone who doesn't journal at all any more, and mostly only hangs around in the research/media threads. But reading on here about the research that's being done - to me that's the biggest support I could ask for to continue in this way of eating, because it shows the actual science behind it, and why it truly is better than giving in and going back to the LF/HC, and strictly calories in/calories out diets.
