When I was a teenager I hated soda. We would go spend the day at the river then end up at a store where everyone got a coke with me just staring at all the drinks saying "I wish they had bottled water but who would pay for free water"? Then I would go to the bathroom and guzzle water from the faucet.

in the main hospital in my zip code, they have two fast food restaurants in the building. Subway & Burger King.
there's a cafeteria somewhere, but as you enter the main bldg, these are the two food choices you see....
and I'm sure they do a BOOMING business.

As I've posted in other threads, Dr. Mark Cucuzzella is changing hospital food in West Virginia. Here's a very informative video with Mark explaining the impetus and the approach:

They used to have a McDonald's at the local children's hospital which they, blessedly, closed down once it got too embarrassing.
