Default HP Brownie Bites

I just cant do Splenda or Equal. These are one of my favorite sweets though. Hope you enjoy.

HIGN PROTEIN BROWNIE BITES

2 C Assorted Nuts & Seeds...I generally do 1 c sunflower seeds, 1 c other...esp walnuts but brazil nuts, almonds or pecans are good too.
2 C Dates...pitted
1/2 C cacao powder

Soak nuts and dates. Blend everything in food processor, press somewhat loosley into mini-muffin baking cups, chill to set. Serve w/ milk.

I have also been known to add goji berries, bee pollen, coconut flakes, hemp seeds and more. This is a VERY forgiving recipe. The dates are perfect sweet.

The dates in this recipe contain 238 g carbs-- much too high for most of us.

Just a warning to anyone else reading this: this is not a low carb recipe!

Okay, Im learning. But isnt that the carb count for the whole batch? These are made into mini muffin bites that you eat (one) OCCASSIONALLY...not al at once.

If they go into a mini muffin pan, I'd assume this recipe makes 24. JUST with the dates, that's 10g a "bite". The nuts, depending on what you use, will also add quite a bit. So will the cocoa. If you're on a plan like Atkins, that's more than half your daily allowance while doing induction. Fruits like dates are also really high in sugar, and aren't usually added back in until the almost the end of the carb ladder (rung 7 our of 9).

And I'd be willing to bet that one turns into two or three pretty quickly since they are small
