I'm not sure about that one. They are zero fat and have 60 calories - I'm assuming that they do have sugar in. The only way to tell is to read a label!

Chupa chups make the little orange or mint sugar free sweets you can buy in many places - I don't think their lolipops are sugar free though!

You can buy sugar free (non chupa chup) lolloies in Holland and Barretts.

Chupa chup means sucky suck in Spanish - thought you might like to know that!!!

Oh that's a good tip - I've been looking for lowcarb beer everywhere. Coming in from work on a Friday night, the only thing that will do is a cold beer on the seat at the top of the garden :-)

Dear All,

I've opened another thread called 'Practical Food Tips' to complement this one, which aims to organise products and product uses in a more organised fashion, e.g. by meal / course etc., so you can look for a solution to a specific need.

Its at the link below:

http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=140615

I've put in some of my own hard-won knowledge from the last 4 months to kick things off.

Hope it's useful!

Default LC at Costco

I know that Costco is not considered a main-stream UK supermarket, but if you've got one near you, it's a great place to buy meat, chicken, cheese etc etc for a low carber.

I usually buy steak and lamb fillets - they came in quite large packs, so I break them down and freeze them individually

But the best low carb product I've found is their Caesar Chicken & Bacon Sandwich Filling (you will find it in one of the large upright fridges - not with the main cheese and cold meats section). It is absolutely wonderful - you can eat it straight from the pot (which contains 750g) or use to make a great Caesar Chicken Salad - and at only 0.3g carbs per 100g, it's a real carb bargain You can also have it hot with/without melted cheese on the top

Found a wonderful ready meal in sainsbury's... (for those days when ur just to tired to cook)

They are mainly chicken based and in my sainsbury's they are in the chilled bit, next to the uncooked chicken products, some are high(er) in carbs than others but a few are low so read the lables. One I had was chicken wrapped in bacon, with cheese, Only 0.2g per half pack, and u get to chicken fillets in one pack, takes 30 mins to cook in the oven and when its done u can pour the cheesey sauce over ur veggies.. was yummy

Those aren't bad at all--I used them when I was away from home, and I know someone who really relied on them while she was traveling and generally too tired to cook anything elaborate.

Thumbs up New UK LC supplier

I've found a new Uk supplier - www.lowcarbgoodies.co.uk - they stock mostly keto stuff + some others (inc ketostix, sweet n low stuff and feelingOK cake & ice cream mixes).

Their service is good, no problems with order, kept me informed (processing and dispatch e-mails) and cheap compared to others. They claim to have the lowest UK prices but I can't confirm.

(sorry if you get this twice, I'm having problems with the message board - it keeps just displaying the logo but nothing else, and says 'done' at the bottom of the page, it works if I refresh it a few times, but not sure how that effects posting...?)
