Awesome!! A month is great.
I quit when I found out I was pregnant with my first child. I just couldn't do that to her.
I've been smoke free for 12 years now. My daughter like to tell everyone she saved my life.

I have been smoke free since Aug 2010, almost 6 months!!
I think the biggest help is my DH doesnt smoke, and they cost so damn much. Who wants to spend 50 bucks on a carton...

I have been smoke free since Feb. 11th 2008. I still must remind myself sometimes that I have chosen to be a non-smoker. I find thinking of it that way helps me more than saying that I've quit something. I have made a CHOICE not to smoke.
Do I still crave it? To be honest, yes, every once in awhile I think I would love a smoke. But I choose not to.
Simple really. After the first few weeks, it becomes totally a mental challenge.
Just make the choice.

Now I need to apply this to eating!!!!

Quit the middle of January this year, using Zyban and patches. Honestly, quite often I miss having a cigerette. The cravings are not strong though but I THINK about how much I enjoyed smoking and yes I do miss it. For my health, my kids (who begged me to quit) and my finances I am going to stay strong. I do NOT miss the coughing, the icky smell on my fingers, and scrounging around for dollars to go buy a pack!

Smoke free for 30 days today! I still have cravings, I have gained weight (8.5lbs) and I can say I am totally miserable!
I think more because I have gained so much weight so quickly. I had quit a year ago for 2 months and I never gained so I thought that with low carb I was good! not true!!
I hope that I have gained all that I am going to and get back to losing.....

I REALLY want to start thinking of it like this! Because it is TRUE!!

I decided, all by myself.. to stop smoking on September 15 of this year.

I have done it a few times before, and I just want to STAY non-smoking now. And I want to feel better. And to not get sick.

I want to take care of myself for real now... because this isn't even like when I first tried to quit in my 20's. It is 10 whole years later almost... and I don't want to be "trying" anymore.

I just want to stay like this!

And to remember this time, that that's what I want!

Jan 1st I will be quit for 4 years. I smoked about 55 years. I smoked 2 cartons a week. I quit using Chantrix.

My best friend died of lung cancer that year in February and I kept picturing her saying in a sad voice, ''Please don't take that cigarette."

great job Chanteyl!!
I have only been quit this time for 2 months, but one day at a time is the best I can do for right now! My Dad has cancer right now and he has asked me to quit too! I hope I can do it for him...
Good for You Honeypie! We can do this!!!
