Default Ate my last piece of "bread" for a while

Someone just inspired me to get back on the low carb bandwagon. I have decided to roughly follow a low carb diet that had been prescribed for me by a dietitian a few years back. That diet helped me to lose almost 40 lbs. After 3 years I gained back a bit of the weight, but then lost it again by "casual" low carb dieting, but I've started to gain again and what is most significant is my triglycerides increased A LOT. That means a low carb diet would help me out a lot. I want to lower those triglycerides and lose at least 10 lbs. If I really start "counting" carb grams I know that shouldn't be too hard of a process.

The other day I made a Czech Easter bread. I know it isn't Easter, but I got a Kitchen Aid mixer and wanted to use the dough hook attachment. Well, I've had more than my fill and it is now wrapped and put in the freezer. From this point on I can start to eat low carb again. Wish me luck!

Best of luck!

You might want to move the bread from the freezer to the trashcan though. These things have the ability to taunt and torture us when they're in our environments.

First thing I did when starting out was to throw away or give away, everything I couldn't have. Of course, I live alone so that is always an option.

^^I agree. The trash is the best place to store bread. Or better yet, let the grocery store continue to keep it (or the ingredients to make it) for you.

i keep all my old high sugar-carb foods(cakes, french fries etc) in the freezer, choclates, sweets, lays etc in the living room. I see them everyday and i am not on a healthy low carb diet almost starving mode since 2 months. Wasting food is against god will and punishement i do on my self. It is so good to starve and see them in front of me everyday.
The funny thing is i don't want them even if they are in front of my eyes i want animal meat all day nothing more
when you are on keto you want meat and fat not bread.

Why do you think you need to punish yourself? Life is hard enough without purposefully making it harder or setting yourself up to fail.

If one has food that isn't ok for their eating plan, it can always be donated to a food bank or other community organization. Things not suitable for donation would do better being thrown away versus causing one undue hardship.

I realize there are different plans and woe - whatever works for someone is great. In my case, the reason I have been so happy and successful is that with low carb I never have to be hungry. This is a rich and satisfying way to eat and live - lots of meat, veggies, and other good whole foods.

I know from experience that getting rid of the "bad" stuff can be helpful, but there is someone else in my household. Someone that doesn't eat low carb. Someone that would be mad at me to throw away homemade Czech mazanec (Easter bread). It is up to me not to eat it. Of course if I have "sweets" in the house from this point on I'll be sure they are low carb sweets. I get 60 g of net carbs per day on my diet. It's a moderately low carb diet I follow.
