Default Desperate Help Needed in Induction Fortnight

I have a major problem in that I just do seem to be able to stick to the induction fortnight. My problem is that my job seems to interfere with it.

Are there any other Teachers out there who have managed it?
Help from anyone would be more than welcome.

Breakfast, lunch and snacks are the main problem in that I am a borderline Diabetic and my sugar levels go really low at times.

Hi Ace I'm not a teacher but the fact that you live in Cheshire caught my eye so I thought I'd reply, welcome or welcome back. I looked at your profile and see you were here previously, I also notice your name was Alan so I suspect you might be male.

What exactly is the problem with induction and teaching?

The blood sugar problem I cope with by carrying babybel cheeses in my handbag or pocket, I'm never without one although whether you could eat one as discretely in front of a class as I can in the office is debateable. I find my blood sugar stabilises in a matter of days when I do strict low carb.

My usual plan for induction is hard boiled egg and cheese for breakfast (easy to eat while stuck in rush hour traffic). Meat for lunch, usually something cold from the night before. Then for my evening meal I can have my salad and veg allowance with whatever meat, fish, cheese or egg combination I can be bothered to cook. As long as I take a good multi vitamin and drink plenty of water I've never had any problems.

Hope this helps, keep us informed of how you go on, I'm currently trying to stay inspired long enough to crack the 12st barrier, I got within 3 lbs last year but then lost the plot and have been gaining and loosing the same 7lbs since then but this time I know I can do it!

Hi Ace,
no offence but I think that your busy job is only an excuse for you.

You have to think about what is more important in your life - your job or your health?
Because for you it's not only about lose weight - you are a DIABETIC!

So pull your self together, stock your fridge with mini chicken breast, eggs, cheese or other lowcarb snacks and prepare a lunch box with little bits every day.
I'm sure you can find 5 minutes every 4 hours or so for a little snack...

Good luck!
