Are you testing during other parts of the day and after meals? Say 1 hour and then again at 2 hours after meals for comparison purposes?

I just asked him if he has ever tested after meals and he said "I think I have a couple of times. I don't remember." Lol. He doesn't have time after breakfast and never eats lunch. But he definitely can test after dinner. I will try to remind him tomorrow night.

I do notice if I exercise in the morning before my fasting blood sugar, it is usually lower.

So my husband finally tested after dinner last night. He had a steak and broccoli. About 90 minutes after eating (he forgot at the one hour mark) his BS was 104.

That's not a number I'd be concerned about, he's going to have a BG increase, but it seems reasonable. Did he test later, say at 150 minutes?

He might want to test just before a meal and then again at 1 and 2 hours just to see how the BG levels respond and do this a couple times to try and identify a pattern. Good luck.

Yeah, I thought it was okay. I'll try and get him to test before and after a couple of meals. I'm hoping he'll go for blood work and find out his A1c. Thanks.
