In addition to the foods eaten with and prior, there have been more studies into the time of day on BG levels. There is an impact from a normal Circadian rhythm.
This method also assumes the problem is Glucose, when there is much new work (or rediscovering old work by Dr. Josep Kraft) that the problem is Insulin levels, their peak and the time it takes to get back to base-line. But a glucose meter is cheap and easy to do at home, nothing like it for insulin, so the best we have for now.
I’ve said this for a while; I would help crowd-fund a home insulin meter. Is there something about the reagents that prevents it from being feasible? Seems like the technology otherwise shouldn’t make it impossible.
