Default WEIGHTS & CORDIAL

Hi all

As many of you know I am an absolute devotee of non team anythings so I am consequently looking to buy a weight machine. Does anyone have any ideas??

I used to do free weights but had to give them up when I did in my rotator cuff. Now want to get started again but would like a machine so that I can be sure I'm doing it right.

Does anyone know of a machine that does a reasonable range of weights - isnt too expensive (not more than $1000) and if possible is readily dismantable?? and/or adjustable.

Also, I cant find any juice free cordials. All the sugar free ones have some juice in them eg: lime, lemon etc but they never seem to tell you how many carbs are in them. Does anyone have any kind of idea of the level of carbs in these kind of items??

Thanks

Nicola

about 5 years ago, i bought my son a york weight machine. it operated on tension bands, not weights. it was easily assembled and provided all the same exercises as the machines with weights and pulleys. it was $200.00 canadian. it's disassembled under the stairs in the basement right now. we finally have our rec room back and i'm going to reassemble it. i thought it was really cool.

Talking

We have a weight machine.... but I would prefer the one Debbie is talking about. The "rope" thing that pulls the weight up and down gets hung up and its hard to get working again...not to mention upsetting to have to stop working out. Also I don't think you're as likely to get hurt on the band one like you can on the weights. I friend of ours ripped his biceps completely loose doing a machine like our...it makes me very cautious to say the least.

Default Carbs in cordials

I've just checked Netzer's Book of Food Counts, and 'cordial' isn't in there. It's annoying: the book is supposed to be the best there is, but it caters completely to the American market.

Do the manufacturers of your local cordials have websites or toll-free phone numbers? It sounds like you'll have to go directly to the manufacturers.

Good luck!

Rachel
