Default Does anyone want to start a Spring Break Challenge?

There's a section on the site for group-journals or studies (or something) and before Christmas there was a 25lb Christmas Challenge and I lost the most weight then (during OWL). I didn't make it to 25, but I would have had to average 3+ a week. However, I did lose 20.

If anyone is up for it let me know. My Spring Break starts Friday, March 10th. So that gives me six weeks to get this bod in shape before I hit the beach. I was thinking maybe a 10-15 lb Challenge. We could start this Friday and weigh-in and then every Friday after weigh-in and see if we're on track. For Example,
with a 10lb. Challenge (2 lbs/week) / 15 lb. Challenge (3/week):

Week 1 Weighin - 140.5
Week 2 Goal - 138.5 / 137.5
Week 3 Goal - 136.5 / 134.5
Week 4 Goal - 134.5 / 131.5
Week 5 Goal - 132.5 / 128.5
Week 6 Last Weighin - 130.5 / 125.5

3 pounds a week seems a bit harsh for me, but I'd be willing to try it.

Hi Erin,, I would love to join you! I have accepted a Challenge at our Tops group to be 15 lbs lighter by May.. But I would really like to be at least 25 by then.. So I will go for 15 by March..
I weigh in tomorrow so I will start then..

I posted this thread in the Atkins forum too, so I want to see who "bites." Let me look around the site to figure out where to post weighin, etc. I'll post that info later.
The only reason I was thinking Friday is because it's before the weekend...and for some reason that appeals to me, but it's up to you - you said you would post tomorrow (that's Thursday, right?).
And...I'm not sure that's phsically possible to lose 25 in 5 weeks, but hey, I not expert.
I'll get back to you with more info.

Erin,, Sorry. I meant by May!!! I would like to be down 15 in 5 weeks.. and 25 by May that is 13 weeks! That way I will be at goal!! I am going to a rally in May and want to be in the ceremony's for being at goal!

Hi Everyone!!

I just realized this is in the teen/student section..... and believe my I'm far from being a teen.... but if no one minds, I'll take the challenge anyway!!

My spring break will be spring cleaning!!

I want to lose 10 pounds by the last weigh-in.
I want to lose a total of 3 inches (measure waist, hips, thighs--- so the total 3 inches has to come off these areas)

Believe me... I'll be happy with whatever I achieve!!

Wish Me Luck!!! I'll be back next Friday and post any changes!!

This has been my goal for quite sometime. If I'm going down to Florida...this year I want to be able to be on the beach and feel good about myself. I'm at 188 now...and hope to be 174 by march 5th. No scale anywhere now I'm at school, but I'll try to check in once a moth on it.

Sounds like you're doing pretty well. Any secrets? It'd be nice if we all went out and got some new (sizes) clothes to wear once we all reach our goal once spring break hits!

I've just been dedicated...I know that's not an easy answer. But I realized that this is the only thing that can drive you to do this. This week has been my worst week and I noticed today, it's because I'm half-hearted. I made a huge thing of what I thought was lc chili, well it's definitely not...for the past two days I've been eating it, and wondering why I gain 2 pounds, and that must be it. However, I'm a non-working college student and I really don't want to throw it out....I've just kinda been like oh well...and I just order a 2 new suits (for interviewer after May) and the way I'm headed, their not going to fit....
