Default Going Low Carb

I did a short bit of low carb dieting back in 2015 for maybe less than a month and ended up losing around ten pounds. I have a bunch of weight to get off that I gained after a very stressful two years where my mother went into a nursing home and I had drastic life changes as well.

So this is it for me. I remember the tips I learned back then which I think was in this forum but I don't remember what ID I used at the time. I'm sure those tips will help me now and earlier rather than suffering for days cluelessly.

Welcome back. I'd recommend not trying to re-remember what you did as start with a fresh solid plan from day one. I basically used Dr. Westman's "Atkins-like" plan generally referred to as "page 4" Go learn more about it start here...

I'd wish you luck but there's no "luck" involved really - nor any hard work. You simply change the way you think almost 180 degrees about food and your physical and emotional relationship to it.

If there is any "hard" about it at all it might be that you have to kill your best friend; Sugar.

If it helps, I have a simple plan, although it does require label reading.

Fewer than 20 carbs per day and twice as much fat as protein.
