Default My personal 2-week challenge

Okay everyone, I'm opening myself up for critique. I am not losing. I'm angry and frustrated with dieting and tired to death of trying, but a person on this forum has convinced me to give it another 2 week go. So I'm going to do that. Each day, and actually each time I eat or drink something, I'm going to record it on this thread. I welcome any and all critiques. If I don't start losing weight, I'm done trying. So my "goal date" for whatever weight loss I can come up with, is September 1st (how appropriate, labor day! LOL)

You can watch, critique or provide encouragement. I'm open to it all. Help me prove myself wrong. If I lose weight in the next 2 weeks, I'm going to work hard on another 2 weeks. Okay everyone, keep an eye on me! We'll see.

Okay folks here we go on my 2 week challenge. I'm up at 4:30 and its now 5 a.m. Got my first cup of coffee going so I can be awake to do my work. Weighed in this morning at 257. I'm going to change my stats above to reflect that. I have earned those 2 blasted pounds. Now I just wish some more would join them. I'm going to weigh every day. I know some folks don't like that, but I'm doing it anyway, so we'll just see how it all goes, my ups, downs, and in betweens.

List of foods eaten/drank for the day

1 MUG of coffee

Breakfast
4 slices of bacon
2 eggs fried in bacon grease
1 MUG of coffee (this is 2 for the day and the last one I'll drink. Now I'm moving to water for the rest of the day).

Okay, just got back in from some chores and I'm starting on my first quart of water.

Lunch
2 chicken drumsticks and 1 thigh
1 cup fried green beans

Starting my 4th quart of water

Supper

7 ounces ribeye
1 cup fried okra
1 Tbsp butter

Okay folks that's the end of my day of food. I ACTUALLY cut my 14 ounce steak in half and immediately put half in the fridge before cooking. If I had cooked it, I would have eaten it. Now I have a wonderful piece of meat for lunch.

Hey Dunroven, do you mind if I join you? I do not write down what I eat, only my guestimated net carbs. I will also post my weight. This is not to compare but to let you know that others are on this same path. You will DEFINATELY see my weight go up and down and I'm not sure I will loose any on the scale in two weeks.

If you'd rather I not join in recording, I'll continue to follow you on this and be encouraging or answer any questions that I might have an angle on for you.

Everyone is welcome. I am asking though that we try to limit this to strict induction foods as I know that is where my confusion has been for the last 15 years of this WOE/WOL.

I already have a question for you dunroven because I'm curious... Do you have any left over grease from your bacon and eggs?

No, I'm curious if you eat it with the meal, save it for later or discard it.

Excellent! I cook bacon in batches so I have a lot of it on hand. I've currently got some in freezer waiting for use.

After my husband gets finished recovering from his surgery, I plan to get bacon fixed like that, as well as lots of boiled eggs for whatever purpose, just eating or for chopping into a salad or putting in some recipes where an egg would just add some good taste. I love to have bacon cooked like that and I cook up chicken legs and thighs as they are the cheapest, right now 48 cents a pound, and I cook 10 pounds at a time and that is easy to grab for a snack or a quick meal.
