This forum seems very quiet. Anyone out there who is still doing Schwarzbein?

Hi,

I'm new to posting on this forum (as I guess you can tell) but wanted to say that while I'm not trying to follow the Swarzbein Principle by the book, I do think that of all the low-carb books I've read, her's resonated the most for me. I like the emphasis on eating a balanced real food diet, avoiding sugar and sugar substitutes and processed foods. The one thing I balk at is the no caffeine rule. I love my morning cup of coffee and frequently have another at lunch.

I would welcome any advice you have for me and would be happy to have a forum buddy!

Regina

Just popping in to say hi! Amanda is another one who is still following this plan.
I've been on it about a year now and am happy. Change is slow, but there has been positive change for me.
More than anything I think this plan is good for those of us with health issues.

Started today. I certainly was not perfect, but I did avoid wheat, sugar, and white potatoes (a HUGE addiction of mine.) I need to get in more vegies, but all in all, did well.

Thank God I don't have to try to get off caffeine (did that 2.5 years ago) or booze (almost 7 years sober.)

Hi,
I just started on this forum last week. I'm doing TSP also. I've only been at it 2 weeks and have had a few missteps, but have managed to get off caffeine.

Hi,
I am trying TSP as a last resort---need to heal adrenal and metabolic issues and other methods have not worked.
This time, I know it's not about the weight loss but about the overall healing of my body.

So, I do have one question for those of you who are doing the Schwarzbein Plan: what do you do about spacing so many meals and snacks into your day?

I am trying to keep meal and snack timing every 3+- hours for keeping blood sugar etc on an even keel: eating at 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm.

Has anyone here had sleep problems and tried Dr. Schwarzbeins suggestion of taking Desyrel?

Hi, I'm baby stepping with Schwarzbein Principal II. Lots to read and understand. I have a multitude of health problems and even the baby steps seem to give me a cm of more energy. I'll take every little bit I can get at this point. I'm also reading some of the reference materials she gives at back of book. I've also got the first book, everyone seems to think II is the better so have been inching my way through it. Now having protein, fat, veg and fruit for every meal instead of no carb. Anyone still on the plan????
