I can probably handle any date or time as long as I have a little advance notice.

I'd love to go to a get-together but I have a bit of a dilemna. My computer is going away to be repaired sometime this weekend and I am not certain when I am getting it back. I don't want to miss any plans made and miss another get-together. I can give anyone who will be going to the GT my home phone number by private email so I can be contacted about the GT in that way if I do not get back online right away.

My father is taking the computer to overhaul it for me and he tends to take his time in returning it.

Hi all,
I'm easy, Sundays work a bit better for me.
Can't think of a suggestion, I'm just stuck.

Hi all!

I'd like to get together soon -- Saturday or Sunday is OK but I will be away the last two weekends in September. Sunday lunch I can't make it much before 1:00 -- back in the organist groove!

PS.. Mary, I love your avatar!

Hi folks

chefmichel, I know you're stuck...in yummy locarb chocolate!!

Okay folks, what about Sept 12 at 1pm??? I am sure I can get off working....

Did we want to go to the west end again? We seem to have a good turn out there, or we could go to the Beaches (East), or the Danforth, yum, I am getting hungry....

Mary

What do y'all think??

Hummer, I love your avatar too!!

I'm good for any day as long as it is easily accessible by public transit.
I do not want to spend hours trying to find an unfamiliar place in an unfamiliar area.

Hey Lobstergal

I can meet you if you'd like, but I don't know where the Ham buses go! Of course, downtown, but that would mean you'd be backtracking. If a bus goes somewhere near Islington or Kipling subway stops, I don't mind whipping over there to meet you.

Could you check that out??

Anyone else is welcome to meet up with me. I start at Wellesley station, so I am close to Bloor, then I go west.

Do we want a resto, or did we want to do a last-of-the-season picnic brunch???? We could sit on a patio somewhere, and have the best of both worlds!!

I am open to ideas. Last time I did enjoy...Zsa zsa's? I think there was an okay selection there, but I don't remember a patio...

Mary

Hi Mary

The GO Express bus I take from Hamilton stops at Union Station. From there I can get on the subway system. I don't mind backtracking to Kipling or Islington or I could meet you at Wellesley at a specific time and go the rest of the trip with you. I was born and raised in Toronto and lived there until 1994 so I am very familiar with the western/southern/northern section TTC subway/transit system. It is outside of TO (like Mississauga, Brampton etc) and east of downtown TO where I get lost (unfamiliar territory).

I used to head to Islington Station all the time when I used to visit my mom
as she lived at Islington and Finch when she was alive.

One of these days I am going to learn to drive or marry a man who will be happy to chauffer me around. LOL.

A restarant or a picnic or anything would be fine with me. I am easily pleased.

Me too. I know Downtown and anywhere along Yonge and Danforth but the West end is a mystery to me.

The Beaches, Danforth, Downtown all sound good. Whatever you all decide.

Hey red and lobster...

We can certainly meet at Union Station and go from there. It will take about 45 minutes to the west end (being Bloor West Village area).

Yaaaay Kristine! It would be nice to have you join us! Will you bring me something from Brock U?? I take Brock courses at Seneca College.

Hummelda, do you have any resto ideas??
Michele67, did you want to meet at Bloor again?? (I'll have others in tow this time!!)

Mary

I'm pretty sure I can make that date. All we need to do now is hammer out the details.

Hi Mary,

I'm not good with knowing where to go -- the only west end restaurant I know of is an Italian one across from the Food Terminal and it's not exactly easy to get to, nor do I even remember the name!!

Bloor West Village was a very nice place to go for Sunday brunch, though. The last place we went there was good and I think others around there also looked interesting/enticing.

Michele, being in the business, any knowledge of them?
