According to my new doc I'm a hot mess with good cholesterol.

The thyroid work that was done while I was in the hospital last July shows I'm hypo whereas they told me my numbers were "perfect".

He's concerned with my out of range low WBC, which has been that way for 4 years. Trying to go through my mom's records to see if there's ANYTHING there that can point us in the right direction with the blood clot thing. As he said, even though she's obese and doesn't move a lot, there HAS to be a reason for the huge number of clots she had. Otherwise we start with what looks the most certain: Lupus, Hashimoto's (where have we heard THAT before), and Addison's disease.

I've also started my diuretic again for TOM issues, but I need to go to a specialist because the pain is too much for something not to be wrong. They're wanting to just stop my system altogether again because it stops the problems, BUT with my family's blood clot issues BCPs and Depo (the first choices) are not a good idea. Not sure what that leaves then, but my mom just chewed my ass up one side and down the other for even mentioning it. Gee, glad your concern is for me and not the fact that you want a grandkid...

This is going to cost me a fortune....

If you want kids, I have a 13 and 16 year old you can have. they are trying my patience so I am willing to let them go

i am reading Gary Taubes "Why we get fat" and seeing if there is anything that I can gleen that will help me with this 6 month plateau...

My luck he will say no alcohol...

Have a great day!

Health/family ranting:

It's official. I hate my mother. I keep trying not to, but I just can't not.

I called to try and get info on if any of my grandparents have rheumatoid arthritis (because my doctor ASKED for that info) and went off on some crap that I'm sick because I "stress myself out all the time" and, the kicker, that my blood test results were bullshit. "Well, so-and-so's doctor said they might have any of those things and they're fine so you're fine". Very reminiscent of when I got my kidney function results back and there was an issue - "Well, your grandmother is depressed and that's worse". I didn't know I was having a contest!

WTF does that have to do with jack? I've gone from running miles a day, working out 6 days a week to feeling like crap to the point I get SICK if I workout more than walking and my WBC is still really low out of range. But I'm "faking" my blood tests, I've caused my psoriatic arthritis somehow, and getting shingles at 30 was something I did to myself and "normal". So suddenly the doc that seemed great before is no good now that he's genuinely trying to help me. In-fucking-credible.

Trust me, "mom", I'd gladly give you all this to crucify yourself with to save myself the pain....bitch.

WTF is it with Moms and families??!!!

Did we piss off some major God or something because my mom is behaving in the same insane ass way too...

I told the kids that the woman that I offered them too has turned me down. Anyhow... I can't give them to you... I need the tax break.

I hated my mother too, for her last several years. It can be rough, but I found that overall, ignoring them is easier than putting up with them. I'm sorry you have to go through that.

Down another 1.2 lbs this morning after eating at 10 p.m. again last night (I need to stop that). I've got .4 left to lose to hit my "highly unrealistic goal" by tomorrow. Who knows, I may not even weigh depending on how rushed I am in the morning.

Keeping my fingers crossed the weekend goes off without a hitch. I need to dye my hair today because it lost it's intensity about 2 weeks ago, laundry, and go to the bank and the store for DH's granola bars and candy bars. No clue what I'm taking to eat. Guess I should have thought of that sooner.

Can you eat nuts? Portable, filling, nutritious.

So after this weekend I am official off alcohol indefinitely. My new migraine meds are highly incompatible with alcohol. Of course, it also says "do not lie down for 10 minutes after taking this medication". Oooookay...? I won't?

I forgot to eat today. I was sitting at the pharmacy thinking "why am I so hungry?". Then I felt like an idiot. Too much running around not enough of my usual routine.

And with that I am off for an extended out of town weekend that will conclude with Chinese food and/or pizza unless I'm too tired to eat then I'll reconsider. Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather stays decent!

Something in the air...

I was at the store this evening trying to figure out why the hell I couldn't think straight...

Turns out it was 7 and lunch was at 1pm

Also because I was at 700 calories for the day...

I am so fucked up right now...

Mel,

I would love to see an image with the red hair. My guess is that you rock that look.

I think that I am in a way better place than I have been in a few months. food is good, but I am going to have to push myself to eat more. I am still in this crazy calorie deficit thinking and I think that is hurting my loss.

I have been getting into more darksynth, industrial, and Dark music. I love it. Found a group called Switchblade symphony, that I am really enjoying. They are no longer together but the rhythms, and stuff remind me a lot of Gary Neuman back in 2000 or so... around his album Exile and Pure.

Back home. If I EVER have to go to another casino again I will shoot myself instead. I'm still trying to get the smell of smoke and blech out of my clothes... It was worth it to be around three of the most beautiful people in the world, but the experience itself was horrific: 5 hours of sleep in 3 days, NO food I could eat other than what was catered by the band (ordering anything in the restaurants was dangerous and I ended up getting soyed by a fucking hamburger and salad...), and the place was just nasty, dirty, and depressing.

Wheat and I are mortal enemies at this point - this I now know for sure. Weight is up 2 lbs at this point, which could be worse and probably will be at tomorrow's weigh in.

I've now got a ton of stuff I need to get done and heavily considering jetting off in a couple of months...

You're going to be okay. Everything looks worse when you're not getting enough sleep. Once you're caught up, you'll realx a bit. I'm latching on to the sleep part because I'm not getting much sleep either these days. One of those colds that make it difficult to breathe or swallow. This too shall pass.
