Mainstream--typically narrow-minded--but mildly entertaining article at CNNMoney site:

I like the line:
'there'll probably be some new diet pushing pasta and baked bread.'

Isn't this the orthodox visdom we are fed at the moment?

Cool

Oh yeah, let me close my eyes and picture that one, "So people, sick of eating nothing but meat and vegetables, will run screaming into the streets, demanding potatoes, pasta and bread." "Screaming", no less, folks.

Did you notice he doesn't even have a link at the bottom of the article for us to email him? Coward!

Now, about the pasta & bread - sounds like low fat to me, but I did like his dinner preference at the bottom. You know, the steak, sour cream & butter - see I chucked the potatoe - can't stand 'em! I'd put my sour cream & butter on some lovely steamed broccoli.

These news people do not understand how many people are developing diabetes on their traditional diet. It is not a matter of it being a taste preference but a health need. That is not a fad but a fact. When little kids have been getting Diabetes 2 at an alarming rate how can they not fit that in the equation?
