Default Atkins Hot Dog Rolls

My local Publix just started selling the Atkins Bakery Hot Dog Rolls and Dinner Rolls. I tried the Hot Dog Rolls tonight. They're wonderful! They taste like a whole wheat roll and their primary ingredient is wheat protein (not soy!). They have 5 net carbs and 140 calories each. They're rather pricey at $2.99 for 4 buns, but still that's cheap relative to what a fast food hot dog would be (and a lot fewer carbs). I don't expect to eat them often, but they've make a nice occasional treat.

I didn't buy the dinner rolls, but they look like they are made with the same recipe as the hot dog rolls. They've smaller than the hot dog rolls and they were $2.99 a 6 pack.

Wow, now that is something I miss, a good hot dog on a bun! I sure hope they still have these when I'm in maintenance!

Thanks for the heads up.

A good hot dog on a bun was something that I missed, too. I was excited and surprised to see these in the grocery store today, just sitting there in the bread section.

I'm thinking hot sausage sandwiches..... natural casing hot dogs with mustard and relish like a "normal person" in the summer at parties! They really are expensive, but I guess that'll change as more people change over.
