One of my favorite DD foods, Dannon Light and Fit Greek yogurt, has some new flavors. They are called "blends" and are 80 calories and 8-9 g carbs each. I've seen key lime, toasted coconut, banana cream, and orange cream. The coconut is my favorite, but I like them all.

Congratulations on the new low, tbagram!

I'm stilling JUDDDing with 2 DDs (about 700 calories) and 5 UDs (about 2200 calories) per week for maintenance. I find that easier than alternate day JUDDD with DDs of 50-60% of UD calories, which is the maintenance that Dr. Johnson discussed in his book.

Thanks Carolyn,

I'm down another pound today. I figure about 25 more pounds and then maintenance for me.

I am retiring the end of the month so hopefully I will be able to stick to it. I am RVing sound the country so new foods and places will be a challenge.

I wish you well with your retirement and JUDDDing, tbagram. I hope to RV around the country when I retire, too. But, unfortunately, that won't be for at least a decade.

I'm going to give this a go again. I remember trying it briefly (maybe a year ago?) but I can't remember why I stopped. I do recall that I had trouble with overeating on the UDs. I also remember that I was doing about 750 calories on the DDs, so maybe I wasn't activating my SIRT1 gene or something.

This time I'm going to try 500 calorie DDs, consumed in a single meal. Eating little tidbits all day long makes me think about food all day long. Maybe I'll save some calories for salty broth at night.

Restarted at 145, down to 141.5 today after three weeks. Bike, I usually do 500- 700 on DD. I just keep a closer eye on my UD cals for a while until I remember what I can eat in general without counting every morsel. That's how I lost my initial 12 pounds last year. Back for more now, ready to hit goal at 135, maybe less depending how I feel. Best to you.

I got through my first DD without issue, though I didn't like going to sleep hungry. I kept my calories in a 2 hour window. That made me feel like I could eat a normal, low carb meal that included an entire avocado. You can't feel deprived while eating a whole avocado. I think I may have set myself up for failure last time by doing the DDs nearly fat free, in order to eat more food. I did the DDs like Simeon's HCG protocol last time -- and I've never been able to maintain my losses from hcg.

I did some low-key intermittent fasting (16/8) the past couple weeks, so I'm sure that helped. There's something about the combination of LC + IF that creates energy and reduces the urge to overeat. I think it must have some hormonal effect. I wish I understood it better.

Good luck with JUDDD, bike2work!

I shot for 700-750 calories on down days. I did this even when I was in active weight loss mode. For me, there's a big difference in satiety between 700 calories and 500 calories. Plus, using the calculator on Dr. Johnson's website at the 35% level, it gave me 733 calories for a DD.

I think this is a good idea, Carolyn. I've been doing a little over 500 but it's a bit difficult and I can't afford to be distracted by hunger right now. It also leaves room for adjustment in case of a stall. If you start at 500, where do you go when it becomes necessary to tweak?

Today I did my first MD. Unfortunately, I have to do a DD tomorrow, and I'm kinda hungry already. I was having a DD and then a neighbor invited me over for wine. I needed to transition for a party Friday anyway so it worked out.

I'm so glad to hear you're maintaining, Carolyn. That's the part I've never achieved.

That's one of the great things about, JUDDD. If an event happens and you can't do a DD, just move the DD until tomorrow.

Hi all,

My first stop is Austin Tx. Hot here but love the people. So friendly! I have to get my eating plan back under control. I've been eating less and feel thinner but don't know for sure because of no scale.
