Default 2% cheese?

I've been doing CALP since Monday and after I got by the first day, I immediately noticed that my cravings were gone - totally, and I did not experience my mid-day crash where i just zone out in front of the computer for a couple hours.

Today though, I ate my normal breakfast: 1/2 c. of egg beaters, green peppers, and two veggie sausages and cheese omelet thingie.

Today I used 2% cheese. I bought it because the label said under 1 G of carbs, 6 grams of fat, and no sugar, so i thought it would be okay. I used approx. 1/4 cup, maybe even less.

But, now I am REALLY hungry after eating this morning when normally I am really full till noon or so.

I'm wondering if I am feeling hungry because of the 2% cheese?
I'm not really craving carbs, I'm just hungry. So i wound up eating two cheese sticks. Still hungry....something's off don't you think?

NOT going to use 2% cheese in my CR's anymore - will save for RM's.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I don't buy 2% cheese so I can't help you. I do know I need adequate fat at my CMs to get that full and satisfied feeling.

Could be the fact that is was cheese, period.

Some people get triggerd by it.

but yes, definitely, I do better with full fat products

hi-
I don't know if it was the cheese, the egg beaters, the vegggie sausage or what! You can try eliminating one item at a time and see how you do. Since starting this WOL I use no reduced fat anything, including cheese. I also eat 2 real eggs everyday-

I would imagine that since you have been eating the same thing daily, that it is the cheese. I would do as you suggested and save it for your reward meal. I had an apple at my reward meal and was kind of wanting to eat the rest of the day but I didn't have enough fat in my meal so I know that was the culprit.

The onlything I changed was the type of cheese, so i'm guessing that was the culprit. No more 2% cheese in my CR's.

I drank a glass of ice tea (no sugar) then went for a 45 minute walk to avoid eating naything else. Just lunch not too long ago; lettuce, salmon, some mushrooms, and parmesan cheese and feel good.
lesson learned!

I believe it was the 2% cheese.

I buy all high fat foods nothing LOW fat. Not worth it, when it comes to filling up my tummy.

What about at RM's? I hate the thought of eating all that fat all the time. Wondering if anyone uses fat-free salad dressings, or cheese or other products during a RM.

Usually fat free stuff has extra fillers like sugar which make me hungry as well. As Mary said, full fat works better for me and tastes better lol.... Plus all those fillers could stall you....

Thanks.

I'm going to ditch the fat-free and 2% stuff then. I never really thought about all the additives/fillers they add to make them fat-free.
