Default how much water am I supposed to drink and how come?

Just wondering how much water I am supposed to drink during induction. In the past I have tried to have two or three pints but someone has suggested I should be having up to 8!!! Is this right? Surely I will be popping to the toilet all day.

You're supposed to have a minimum of 8 x 8oz glasses per day, plus an additional 8oz per day for every 25 lbs you want to lose. So, it looks like you want to lose 50 so that would be 10 x 8oz glasses per day. More doesn't hurt, either. Yes, you'll be going to the bathroom a lot, but look at it as exercise and it does slow down. Try not to drink too close to bedtime, tho

Thanx Nikki - I am on my third glass this morning and all I can say is its a good think I am working from home today as the boss would be going mad if I had to keep getting up and going off to the toilet. Will I always have to drink this much water or is it just while I am adjusting. Also what is it supposed to do, fllush out my system and de tox me?
Sorry for all the questions but I am so fasinated.

oops, missed the second question Hey, it's 230a.m.!!

Why? Because it helps your body do the job you're asking it to do (burn the fat) and helps to flush the waste products out! Plus, it will help you stay hydrated and is healthy for you all around.

Try having a 1/2L or full liter bottle with you all the time and keep sipping at it and when it's empty refill it right away and keep going...or, you could fill a few bottles with your required water amount and keep them in the fridge and keep filling a glass until all the water is gone--just some ideas

Thanx - 2.30am!!! get some sleep girl. As my mother always tells me - sleep - most vital part of the day!!! How come you are awake so late?

Will try what you said and fill bottles for the day and put them in the fridge. Really want to stick to this.

Well...I was in bed and asleep by 11pm and then DH got home from work around midnight and ahem, woke me up ...then I couldn't get back to sleep after my 1.5 hour 'nap'! I'm used to working shift work and being up at any time during the day or night, so that doesn't help either I'll have to have a short nap after work tomorrow (off at 12:30pm) and get back on schedule!

It's nice to be able to 'chat' with somebody tho--great thing about the forum, somebody's always here 24/7

I agree - I am supposed to be working but cant help checking for replies to my posts!!

It is funny how a little thing like a few messages can help motivate you. My friends are constantly saying what do you want to lose weight for and you are damaging your health but coming on here and reading everyones messages has made me realise that it is not just me who is going through it, it is everyone.
Have just been trying to post my before picture but its saying my file is too big - how true is that!!!
Never mind will try again when have read the manual!!

Try going to the 'technical' area of the forum (near the bottom of the home page) and following the steps there.

I agree that coming to the forum is a lifesaver. Don't listen to the friends who are trying to talk you out of it. Sorry to say, it may be possible that they have their own agenda or they're misinformed about this WOE. I'd go for the latter before the former, tho

Had to laugh about the 'picture too big' --you're hilarious!!

Take care,
Nicole

Don't forget that an American pint is smaller than a British pint. I'd say 2 litres a day (or 4 pints) is enough.
