I am taking one multi-vitamin a day and 1200 mg Calcium.
My question is about my vitamin? I notice it has corn starch and modified corn starch in it. I was wondering if that is OK. The vitamin is a multi-vitamin formulated for Adults 50+. Although I'm not 50+, my husband is, and we both take the same vitamin daily. We've taken these same vitamins for years.
I don't want anything to hinder my progress. I feel like the vitamin has to have something to hold the combinations of vitamins and minerals together in pill form. The label says nothing about carb count.
I appreciate your help even though this may sound a bit dumb.....
I too was wondering about the vitamins. I called a couple different manufacturers of the various supplements I'm taking, and they said that by law (in the states), they have put list any carbos if there are any. For example, many vitamins have glycerin in them, but they told me that it is such a minute amount, it doesn't have any carbs in them.
Thank you for responding to my question. I have noticed on the label that my viatmins do have glycerine in them. There is nothing on the label about sugar or carb content.
I think they are OK to take.....I will continue to take them and my 1200 mg calcium daily.
I'm taking so many different supplements, I feel like a pill popper. Multi-vitamin, E, C, Calcium, Potassium, flax seed oil (w/borage and Omega 3) and fiber pills. Even though I'm not losing fast, at least I know I am healthy.
All I can say is that the company that makes the vitamins I bought, said that if there are carbos over 0.9 grams, they have to list it. She said that if it's not listed, there aren't any (or at least under 1 gram). I hope she's right because I take a lot of supplements.
