Thumbs up Hot n' Spicy Chicken Soup

My wife and I are in our first month of the Protien Power lifestyle and she made this soup for the family tonight...it was so good I just had to share it with someone...

The Protein/Carb amounts are what we've gotten off both nutritional info on the packages and from the protien power guide.

For 1 Serving

1 cup water
1 tsp OXO powdered chicken stock (1.4 carbs)
1/4 tsp hot curry powder (0.1 carbs)
1/4 cup tomato and basil pasta sauce ( 1.4 protein and 2.7 carb)

she used the 'Presidents choice - Too Good To Be True Lowfat tomato and basil pasta sauce' It has 10 gm carbs and 4.6 gm fibre in 1/2 cup serving. Available at Superstore (Canadian company......)

Put in a sauce pan and bring to a boil stirring well.

Add 1.5 cups of cooked and diced chicken breast (50 gm protien)

Let it simmer covered for approximately 15 minutes to heat chicken.

Nutritional Info/Per Serving

Protein: 51.4 grams
Carbs: 4.2 grams.

The recipe is easy to double, triple, whatever....we used hot curry powder for ourselves and made a unspiced one for our 3 year old. It makes a really good low carb tomato/chicken soup too!!

I'm really lucky to have a talented wife....I could burn water (without much difficulty)

Thats it...Enjoy!

John
