Hi

I am only 1 day back on plan, after 3 years off, and 50 extra pounds over my previous highest weight ever

I had grilled chicken, 1 bite stewed turkey, a few bites skirt steak, and 3 large grilled mushrooms

This was last Wednesday, but it was pretty exciting so I thought I'd post it.
I went out to visit with my mom and had pad Thai chicken, but on top of zoodles, plus iced green tea.
It was amazing!

Giant iced chai latte made with almond milk
Epic turkey strip (jerky)
2 string cheese
Cinnamon jicama dipped in peanut butter

Snacks- wasabi seaweed and an orange sparkling water
Dry roasted wasabi edamame with peach pear sparkling water

Omg.... Might be the hormones, but I have been craving apples and pb like crazy. Today I took jicama sprinkled with cinnamon and splenda and used those (i like to make "baked apples" with jicama). It was soooooo good!!!!

Pat I missed this: You are the one who first gave me the idea! With your stuffed Poblano recipe. I've loved doing this ever since.

Robin, I used to go to a cafe out in Placerville CA called Sweetie Pies who had the best Swiss cheese and avocado omelets... that was my fav.

What is a Paleonola? Sounds good. And pumpkin coconut nog- YUM. How do you make that?

Today: have been petsitting, so lunch has been Roast Turkey deli slices with Muenster cheese, mayo and horseradish.

Paleonola is a brand of grain free granola- I find it in whole.foods, but you could make it much cheaper. For me, it's an occasional treat, so I just buy it. It is just nuts, seeds, coconut flakes and flavoring (like cocoa or vanilla or.cinnamon). It has 4-5 carbs after fiber per serving

For pumpkin nog, I use 1/2 c pumpkin, 1 cup coconut milk, 1/4c eggbeater for protein (eggbeaters are pasteurized so safe "raw", cinnamon, vanilla, splenda and a touch salt. I blend it up with ice if it's hot out for a cappuccino type drink, or microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until hot. It takes about 2-2.5 minutes.

Went out today for before a Dr's appointment with my mom.
Went to a salad bar place where you pick ingredients and they chop it all up for you (cabbage and arugala, hearts of palm, cuke/tomato salad, edamame, celery, shrimp and a lemon garlic dressing. It was great. Also had a passion fruit la croix.

Snacks- epic turkey strip, salt and vinegar pumpkin seeds, a chai almond milk iced latte, and a peach pear sparkling water.

Thanks Robin! The nog sounds delicious, may include that in my holiday menu (just me but I like to make my holidays special)

today: My landlord brought me a ton of fresh veggies, so I have an abundance of salad fixin's - made what could only be called Fresh Farm Veggie Salad w/greens, hard cooked egg, chunks of ham steak, tomatoes, green onion, cucumbers, radishes, cheese and cheese crisps. I mixed mayo and a little sour cream w/ a Guacamole sauce I got in the bargain bin...it isn't as good as I'd like it to be, but used in dressing it's pretty good. Added a generous amount of onion powder to it.

What a nice present from your landlord- sounds great.

Today was pretty hectic, so I had 2 string cheese and a bag of bbq quest chips while running all over. Then I had a super late "lunch" of scrambled eggs with avocado and salsa, plus 2 peach pear sparkling waters.
