Talking Red Lobster Heaven

My wife and I hit the local red lobster for lunch today and we couldnt help but to notice the "All you can eat Alasken Snow Crabs for $19.99".

So we ate there for two hours...picking and talking, picking and talking, etc.

Before we knew it, we had consume 13 pounds!!!!!! of crab legs!

The funniest part about the whole thing is that if we paid the regular price (if it wasnt all you can eat) we would have spent $235.00 (not including tip). And we left the restuarant (sp) feeling good because we both knew we had not gained a single ounce eating them.

Ahhhh

what a diet.

Eating at all you can eats is often a rip off when you are NOT low carbing because all those carbs bloat you up so fast. I would guess that most people don't get their money's worth (at least I never did) It's kind of nice to know that there are places where you can make it worthwhile.

Anyone interested in crab? Just remember to stay away from the imitation crab meat. It usually comes in preformed sticks (looking like string cheese), or chunks. That stuff is loaded with carbs - as much as 15 for half a cup. If you're going to indulge, go for the real stuff!

Had to eat out a lot the last week and had the all you can eat crab twice. Don't what I had in weight though--initial helping plus 4 refills. Crab is one of my favorite foods.... I agree with AngelaR. It sure is nice to get your money's worth. It was pretty tough to resist those cheddar garlic biscuits though....

Just envision several insect class species in those chedder biscuits and you'll be just fine

By the way..here's a trivial fact:

Did you know that lobster comes from the cockroach family?? It's true; food for thought.

And even funnier than that: the heart attack the owner probably had!
