It's the combination of zinc oxide (zinc is THE skin mineral) and the cod liver oil (rich in vitamins A & D).
I read a nifty tip for sudden breakout ... like when you're just about to go out, or have an appointment etc, and a red inflamed spot is threatening right on the end of your nose ... eye drops!! The kind you use to "get the red out". Just put a drop or two on a Q-tip and apply directly to the red spot (don't rub it over a large area). It will shrink the inflamed red tissue temporarily ... for a few hours, at least enough to get you through the date/meeting whatever. Then you can use the Desitin when you're back home.
I tried it, and it does work!! Took the itching away too!
Note - it's just a temporary, occasional trick to reduce a red spot, not a daily treatment.
