1. No cheats - on plan food only. To aid with this I am taking a small notepad with me and when I see something I think I will throw in my mouth I am going to write it down instead. My mom passed away this AM. I've been up for over 24 hours with her at the nursing home, eating snacks they provided for us during this and little else. I will be back when I can resume - for now, don't plan of going off the rails but need a few days.

Plan: My own - < 30 net carbs
Stats: 440/228/210 Male 5' 11"
BF:Energy Unleashed
Progress: 92%
Location: Central Virginia - USA

Days 6 & 7 of 90

Saturday: 23 net carbs, 2300 calories, 25g fiber. Sunday: Didn't log food, but good on the carbs and fiber, high on the calories.

Days with no between meal snacking: 4

Another cake free birthday celebration yesterday. I had LC strawberry cheesecake pudding. It's a calorie bomb, but it works great with my WOE. The whole family enjoyed it.

Day 28 of 90

Goals: Follow Atkins 40. Track and weigh daily. Drink water. Limit dairy, caffeine and artificial sweeteners. Stay away from nuts.

Weight goal: Stay under 205 lb for life. Longer term weight goal: Get down under 200 lb and stay there for life.

I think I might be allergic to nuts, at least my favorites - walnuts and pecans. Since reintroducing them a while back, I broke out in an old familiar rash on my forearm under my elbow. I stopped eating them and the rash is clearing. Crossing them off my shopping list.

Goal weight: <205
Weight at start of this challenge: 202.8
Today's weight: 203.4

My elbow rash is just about gone now without the nuts. My weight's been teeter-tottering between 202.8 and 203.4 all week. I'm aiming for equilibrium, and that's a good sign. Drinking more water in this hot weather fends off body aches and fatigue, which I now recognize as dehydration. Doing well.

15 net carbs, 2100 calories, 15g fiber - I'm not locked into my keto zone just yet, but I feel like I am getting there. Keeping the net carbs low makes possible for me to find a good, consistent, almost rhythmic pattern with my eating. I experience longer periods of time when I'm not even thinking about eating. It takes less willpower required to stay on track. This challenge really helps me work on the discipline necessary to get there.

Days with no between meal snacking: 5

Kat - Sorry to hear about your mom. I know how you feel.
