Default advice needed

Wondering whether anyone has some good ideas - this is week 12 of Atkins and have lost 8kg. Started off briliantly, losing well, straight into ketosis, but the past 4-5 weeks, just hovering around the same weight. I am being super careful what goes in the mouth, and some days, would be pressed to have eaten 10g carb. My exercise levels are good - gym and walking, but probably need more water. Am getting v. frustrated - I know the diet suits my body type -insulin resistant and v underactive thyroid, but why has it stopped already? I need/would like to lose another 12 kg, but at this rate, it is never going to happen. Any ideas welcome!!

Your body is probably just taking a rest and getting used to its new weight. Just hang in there and it will start coming off again. You are ahead of me in the time you have been on the diet but from what I've read here, it's normal to hit a plateau at times. Also, with your gym habits you may be gaining muscle which is a good thing. It weighs more but takes up less space so the scale could actually go up but you would still be smaller. Are you measuring to see if you've lost inches? Also the muscle helps your metabolism so you burn more calories 24 hrs. a day than the same amount of fat would. Good luck!

you should really be making it to 20g a day, mostly from vegies. if you aren't getting enough calories, your body will think it's starving. so while it is usual to plateau, make sure you get enough carbs and calories. maybe go up to 25g for a week or two and then drop back down, you might kick a drop. good luck

BELIEVE ME Sambalam knows what she is saying. In fact you probably are not eating enough of everthing if thats the carbs you are using. Post a couple of days eating so we can all have our 2 bobs worth of trying to help you.
If you have trouble eaating vegies make soups very yummy and filling and you can put dollops of cream into them.
AND WATER WATER WATER ET AL
