This diet isn't working anymore!
So, here's my basic story:
Atkins got me to my goal weight in 2003, which I maintained until this year. Seemingly out of nowhere I put on 3-4 lbs. Then, I gave up completely and put on 5 more.
I did 3 weeks of induction. The first week I lost 7 lbs. The second week I gained 4, lost 3. The third week I gained 4...now I have a net loss of 2 lbs.
To be brutally honest, I don't restrict splenda because it has never stalled me in the past, and I love my coffee.
Here are some things I have done: - My fat intake is variable day to day. It isn't consistent.
- I work out about 3-4x per week. I run, cross-train, and am training for a 5K and 10K.
- I take: glucosamine/chondritin, a multi, biotin, and omega-3. I recently started back up with supplements (but the re-gain was a few days before I started, it went down, then back up...I don't know if they are the factor. My supplements have no sugar in them.
- I pretty much cut out caffeine week 3, that didn't help.
- I tried coconut oil for a few days- saw a dip and a regain.
- I eat about 1,000 calories per day.
- I don't always get the amount of vegetables Atkins recommends.
- I drink my water most days.
- I *think* my pee smells *funny* (like it should on Atkins).
