Default Whey proteiin powder: unflavored low-carb: Toronto source

Where in downtown Toronto, can I buy plain, unflavored, low-carb, whey proteiin powder, in a small quantity?

SISU makes a good unflavoured whey protein; also Interactive's IsoWhey "natural" and Absolute Whey are good too. Both are available in smaller 450g size, but of course not all stores carry the smaller sizes . Nutrition House carries both brands, and I've seen SISU at Loblaws Superstore in the health foods section. GNC carries SISU and I'm sure any health or sports nutrition store would have it.

I'd phone around, save yourself some legwork

hth,

Doreen

Many thanks Doreen
I am unfamiliar with whey products. I’ll look for your suggestions at Loblaws, and at a health food store nearby.
Thanks again

Hope it's the same out there, but Shoppers Drug Mart carries a number of whey protein powders at a pretty good price, even puts them on sale now and then. In the section where they have the power bars and supplements, usually.

And while you're phoning around, be sure to phone the Low Carb Grocery, on Yonge near Lawrence (3000 block?), they may well have competitively priced whey protein powders, and they're likely to have a good selection including the plain unflavoured kind.

Once again, I’ve had the “AH-HA!” moment were I realize that I shouldn’t be searching for carb replacements at all.
When I make low-carb desserts, they only “prime the pump”.
Afterwards, I want more and more carbs.
I am happier when I avoid them altogether and when I avoid them, I don’t crave them.
It is a tough lesson that I need to learn (over and over).
