Default Subway discontinuing LC wraps

I picked up two breakfast wraps at Subway this morning. According to the worker, apparently the LC wrap is going to be replaced by a regular white flour one, so make sure you check before ordering one!

Another LC "on the go" food option gone...

I wish they had the brains to continue to market the wraps, as high fiber and low sugar, that's the way to go these days...instead of getting stuck on the whole labelling/"LC is dead" crap.

Good marketing makes SUCH a difference, and they could always use the boost in their battle with Quiznos

Sigh.

I've never had one of those. I had better run over and get one before they disappear!

Well that sucks! I ate those as my occasional treat out for dinner when the family got subs, pizza, or hamburgers. Sure I can get something else at a fast food place, but I liked that I didn't have to pick the entire thing apart so that it looked like an unappealing mound of pieces of meat and vegtables.

I wonder if we emailed the company about wanting the product to stay, if it would do a lick of good? Probably not. There are more that don't LC than do.

Well, if we DON'T email the company, how will they ever know? I'm going to. And I'm NOT going to say keep the LC wraps (because they've already made a decision about LC) but I AM going to say that I like the wraps they used for LC, I LOVE that they're higher fiber and lower calorie and HEALTHIER, and I would continue to go to Subway by preference IF they kept the wraps...and I'm telling all my friends....

Ta!

I just fired off an email to them. I just told them that I enjoyed the product, that I appreciated the fact that they carried a product that was permissible for my specific dietary requirements and that it is the reason why we purchase food there so often.

I'll let everyone know if and what they reply.

I actually did send an email saying pretty much that I appreciated the sugarfree and high fiber and HEALTHIER option provided by the LC wraps, in hopes they'd take the hint.

I also said I'd be chatting about this issue on all the forums ...

How disappointing. I received an "answer" (if you can call it that), pretty much a standard boilerplate response explaining to me as if I were downright simple that sometimes they had to make menu adjustments and I would probably find another item that would become my new "favorite". Pshaw. Crap.

I responsed pretty much with the crap answer, with a bit more wording of course.

What a waste of their corporate resources.

I also think it stinks that you have to pay more for a salad. You can have all of the veggies on a sandwich or a salad AND you are not getting the bread. Why do they feel the need to charge more?

I haven't even received a response yet. I'll wait a few more days then resend the same message with an added blurb about not even receiving a response.
