Angry caffiene

Hi everyone,
This is my first day on Atkins. I am a former weight watcher, sugar and carb addict. So far today, I have made it through with NO COFFEE. UGH! The caffiene free just do anything for me. I have had bouts of nausea and a nagging headache that won't go away. I gave in and had a diet coke. Can I have at least one cup of real coffee per day and an occasional glass of diet coke or sugar free tea? I don't know if I can completely give up caffiene. Anytime now I am going to start growling and bite someone! GRRR

you can have anything you want! Some people are stalled by caffeine some are not. Maybe it'll halve your loss rate but that would be worth it to you...but try life without it for a month, though, as a favor to yourself. It's not doing you any good, and it may be doing your health harm.

The first 3-4 breaking a drug addiction are the hardest. Headaches are normal symptoms of the withdrawals. Hang in there and you may be very glad you did!

Congratulations!

Razzle is right, but there are two camps. I am still in the coffee drinking camp. And I know it's not in my best interest.

Besides coffee withdrawal, you're going through carb withdrawal. You can get it all over with at once, or do it in two stages if you want to stop using caffiene. With the energy surge you'll experience shortly, you may realize that you don't need caffiene after all.
