Default Sugar alcohol

The other day I bought some tea in the tubes to put in bottles & also some sugar free chocolate syrup. I never bought either before. Boy did it do a number on me. It may have contributed to me losing today
My concern now is will it cause other products to give me problem that have sugar alcohol in them. I have never been bothered by anything sugar free before. I know Chrystel Lite & many other products has some in them. I'm afraid to try it now but guess that's the only way to be sure.
Has anyone had similar experiences?

Yes, too much of a sugar alcohol can produce a laxative effects.
Watch portions when you use them.

I've never heard of that terminology.
In what context is it used?
Did you google it?

OK, I just googled this and it appears that they are referring to the starch blocker aka inulin, that is used to coat Dreamfields pasta...which it turns out it doesn't work so well.
