2 eggs and 3 strips bacon. pretty much my "go to" breakfast. I love the occasional chaffle but find I am hungrier all day after having one. There is nothing in them that should trigger hunger but maybe the combo of things in it sets me off. Does anyone else have this rxn? I had been trying them in a recipe with egg, cheese, baking powder, almond flour, and either psyllium or flax seed meal.

I am definitely no expert on chaffles - I haven't made them, but in my experience the almond flour and flax would make me hungrier. I've seen people just make them with eggs/cheese... I'm sure the recipe is around.

today: just did decaf/HC

Today was 3 strips bacon and 2 eggs. Boring but dependable.

mviesprite -- YES the huger is real! I can do small amounts of any of those but all three in one recipe sets the dragon loose. But if they are just the egg and cheese, might as well make an omelet. LOL so I am still playing around with other chaffle possibilities, but only rarely

Ha! I guess its a texture thing... I wish I could remember who posted that the egg/cheese one was actually very waffle-y and not what you'd expect...

ground turkey/mayo, salt/pepper decaf/HC

I made cheese and egg chaffles over the weekend. I make them in the waffle-maker..I have a tiny one made by black and decker.
I usually layer it~put a dab of cheese, my spoonfuls of beaten eggs, and more cheese on top. Cover and Cook.
This time, I added some of the cheese directly in egg and they were a lot 'fluffier'. It's your mind playing a trick that you are actually eating real waffles. ~LOL!They are pretty good! My son ground up a couple sausage links and added them to his waffle. Pretty good too~~

Lately I've been eating my BIG meal of the day as my first one. Then body is happy with a more snacky meal in the early afternoon, and a long fasting cruise into sleep.

Of course, this might be a function of the heat right now.

Most days I delay breakfast til my break at work - doing the baking soda/lemon water thing in the AM and you have to wait a couple hours to eat... I eat dinner late and am not hungry anyway til the. I do my Airborne water and supps.

Today, not working and chose a fruits only breakfast - made an all-fruit smoothie with 2 nectarines, 1/4 lemon, and juiced an orange. I skipped the ice - it's good!! This will make me hungry so I'll follow up with 2nd breakfast an hour or so later - probably a piece of bacon spinach and mushroom quiche.
Decaf/HC.
