I am not doing well at all with my smoking. I have kind of figured out that in order for me to control my eatings I can't stop-if I do I go overboard and start eating everything. I noticed that my smoking has climbed upward since induction, turning to it unstead of food. I do not feel well-breathing is worse again after having a sinus infection I am coughing alot, hoping stops soon. When I'm sick I do cut way back or not smoke at all. I guess it is to much to expect to give up everything at once. I liked the idea of cutting the carbs, then the smoking..I've already given up coffee, and so far its been more than a week since I've had a diet soda. (a huge thing for me).

it's all about getting healthier. not about being perfect. lose some weight, don't smoke as much for now. worry about quitting later.

I just have to ditto, Kowboi. Trying to be perfect will drive you crazy. You aren't dangerously overweight. But, you have asthma(sugar is really bad on that) smoking when you have asthma is probably more dangerous than your weight. I don't think you should dump the idea of LCing, but perhaps not worry so much about how much you eat and focus on healthy foods and eat when you need to. I heard cold turkey is the best way to quit smoking, but everyone is different in this regard. I know people that successfully quit by cutting out one cigarette a day. They decided which part of their day was the least stressful and to start cutting from and worked out a schedule from there. I never smoked so, I really can't tell you what works personally, just what I have seen work for other people.
