What cheesecake? I make a low carb cheesecake that gives me no problems whatsoever. A regular cheesecake would definately cause me problems.

I have had a problem losing when eating lc cheesecake. I think the problem was that that just added way too many calories for my body to handle. I think if you took it in small portions and made sure that it wasn't affecting you in any way it would be okay. It just took a while for me to figure out what was causing my really long stall, so if you start to have problems I might cut it out again!

It is good though isn't it!

My problem with lc cheesecake comes from not being able to pull my snout out of it!! I seriously have no self-control if I know it's in the fridge. Needless to say, I don't make it often... (Oh, great, I have the ingredients.... if I....<slaps self..HARD> )

I like to make mine in little muffin tins; under 2 grams apiece that way. As long as I only eat one, it's all good...

I would say that for me, lc cheesecake would be a nice treat for the days I work out. Going to give that a go again soon.

Any dairy stalls me. I made a cheesecake over the holidays and froze it in slices. I pull a piece out every once in a while and try it, but I never lose when I eat it. But what else is new nowadays?

Hi 146

I seem to have forgotten... is there a starbucks in PTBO? If so, they have lo-carb cheesecake slices at some of their locations (I haven't seen them at my Toronto location yet, though). It will cost you too much money to have seconds!!!!

Yum I love cheesecake. However;, I do not eat it at all. Too risky for me.

I don't see anything wrong with it. The one I make is just cream cheese, eggs and SF syrup. I make several different things with these ingredients, like mock danish, pancakes, etc.

Personally, I've just stayed away from creating any almost-treat-treats this time around with the one exception of sugar-free jello. But I made those pnb $ choc cup things once on Atkins and whooaaa, they drove me nuts. Same with the Atkins baked goods. Pffft.

I seem to recall Madcabbit ate/eats lc cheesecake every day for breakfast.. she just made/makes one a week.. and she has had NO problem losing weight..

I would check out her journal

I do agree though.. the only way i can see you having trouble is if you have trouble with dairy or if you eat it in large quantities..

happy lcing!

I made one a couple of months ago and ended up eating a slice a day for a week. Didn't hurt me a bit.

I have problems with cheesecake... but it has more to do with portion control and calories, since I try to limit those too.

Aside from that, as long as I made it myself and it has no SAs and I know whats there, I dont have problems.
