While this covers a few points, it is also misleading and incomplete.
The sugars that linger in the mouth feeding cavity making microbes is worse than the acidity which is quickly buffered by saliva.
The 2.5pH is the same as stomach acid. Our GI is designed to cope.
The soda has components that get into the blood and must be buffered to keep the blood in its normal pH zone. IT GIVES UP MINERALS IN THE BONE, CALCIUM, TO BUFFER THE pH. That means demineralizing bone.
Imo this is why older oeople have ostroporosis.... too much soda and not enough bone builders like vit D, vitA, vit K2, etc, and minerals like phosphorus, calcium and magnesiom and potassium. All components to build bone, oh and collagen, too.
At 85 my mother is laying down bone. We all can do this. No drugs , no soda, yes k2.

After hours of hard work delicious cold well water beats everything else.
